AES Newsletter, Issue #001 -- Alternate energy sources and things you can do about global warming
May 29, 2006
G'day

Thank you for signing up for the

Alternative Energy Sources Newsletter

(AES Newsletter). As my site develops I will tell you about any opportunities to get better informed about alternate energy sources and global warming. AND about things you can do.

--------------------------------------------

ALTERNATIVE ENERGY TRANSPORT CONFERENCE

Come to Perth, Western Australia for an international conference on sustainable transport.

Alternative Energies Transport Conference 10-13 September, 2006-05-29 Burswood International Resort Perth, Western Australia

Look here http://www.congresswest.com.au/STEP/enews/STEP2.html for full details of this international conference, to be held in my home town. September is spring time and the wildflower display in the South-West region of WA-a biodiversity hot spot-is world renowned.

US TAX INCENTIVES

Meanwhile, if you are interested in checking out personal tax incentives for fuel-efficient cars, have a look at this US database http://www.hybridcars.com/tax-deductions-credits.html. Interestingly the Toyota Prius attracts the least subsidy while it is currently the most fuel-efficient car on the market.

But, some of us would rub our hands in glee if we were able to get such tax advantages on fuel-efficient cars in our parts of the world. Well, it’s all to come, I think.

Global warming can be an incentive to many actions.

--------------------------------------------

NOT JUST TECHNOLOGY

We hear about the latest and the greatest technological break-throughs to save energy and combat global warming almost daily. Yes, some will be of assistance, some will add other problems yet unforeseen.

Sustainability is about bearing up, and flourishing, under conditions of natural limits and in a world which is in many ways unpredictable.

Remember that without a personal sense of responsibility for the welfare of our fellows and for the environments we live in, no technology will enable us to flourish in a sustainable world.

Do what you can do today for someone else and you’re building a sustainable future for your children and theirs.

--------------------------------------------

PLEASE COME BACK OFTEN

My website http://www.alternate-energy-sources.com is developing fast in a world that is becoming hungrier for ways to reduce, or live with, global warming.

Please come back often as it grows—sustainably!

All the best
