| Dear < What's in this Newsletter: 1) Energy audit training courses improved 2) Pakistan, China, Russia 3) Invention help 4) Renewable energy in developing countries 5) Great Green Movies Database 6) Solar panel installation near you 7) Australian elections1) Energy audit training courses improved This first item is for our American readers, AlternateEnergySources.com has been happy to promote Denby Energy energy audit courses because of their excellent quality and value for money. This opportunity to train online for energy auditor certification, in your own time, is now even better. Mike Denby has just announced that both RESNET and BPI energy audit courses are now provided online (!!!) in a seamless continuity package with Denby's own course. Why is this so great you ask. Well, the Denby course certifies you to do 80% of what an energy auditor could do out there. But if you want to be able to attend to the full range of energy auditing, involving blaster door and infrared camera technology, you need RESNET or BPI qualifications. The course packages that Denby now offers is unique in this industry in the US. It puts energy auditing as a job or business within reach of many people and is indeed a breakthrough move. This is an industry that is not new. However demand for energy saving is growing steadily as we enter an age where we have no choice but to live within limits. Saving energy is a fundamental part of that and will be for a long time. The GFC, climate change, imminent Peak Oil and expensive renewable energy technology make it so. Indeed some cities and localities already demand energy audits of new buildings or upon their sale. As a job, career or business it certainly has a lot going for it. Read more about energy auditing here and follow the links to the energy audit courses there. PS When these courses become available to other countries, under their accreditation rules, we will let you know! PPS A DIY energy audit course will be released soon. Stay tuned! 2) Pakistan, China, Russia Are we afforded a peep into our global future? Witness the devastating flooding in Pakistan, unprecedented hot weather and forest fires in Russia, and mudslides in China, associated with deforestation? Many deaths, wounded, homeless, diseased... Our hearts go out to these millions who are affected. And still we cannot quite imagine it could happen to us... Like death, or disability. Yet we must. There is little time left. Read Tim Jackson's Prosperity Without Growth. A must-read. Get it on Amazon.com or your local bookshop. 3) Invention help AlternateEnergySources.com receives regularly approaches from 'green' inventors. Not that they are green at what they do, they are concerned about global warming and need help in developing or marketing their invention. Yes, we have seen several that seem to offer great potential, others seem too good to be true. So what have we done? We are not inventors. But we respect history's record of some wonderful inventions and inventors that seemed way out at the time and have delivered us all manner of things we now take for granted – like electricity. We offer a free service to inventors who seek financial backing to upload their invention's description here There it will be visible to any of the currently 1,000 or so daily visitors that come to our site, some of whom may want to discuss their support with the author. Let the rest be modern history. We played our part!
4) Renewable energy in developing countries Likewise we now provide an interactive page like that for renewable energy building projects in developing countries here We hope to bring projects and backers together. Free upload of content and images.
5) Great Green Movies Database Don't forget our Great Green Movies data base for those nights you want to watch something that challenges the little grey cells... Go here
6) Solar panel installation near you. Looking for a great solar panel installation deal? Check this out here
7) Australian elections This Saturday 21 August Australians elect a new government. Conspicuous by its absence is a high profile for action about climate change. No prizes for guessing where our votes go at AlternateEnergySources.com Thank you for being one of our subscribers! You received this email because you signed up to receive the Alternative Energy Sources Newsletter(AES Newsletter). As my site develops I will tell you about any opportunities to get better informed about alternate energy sources and global warming. AND about things you can do.
