Hi,

I would like to find grants for alternative energy, and insulation. I now have propane heating and would like to change to either all solar or a mixture, but cannot afford to do it without grants.

There are Federal renewable energy grants and incentives and State-based schemes. Sometimes regional renewable grants too. Since you have not indicated where you live I'll refer you to the USA DSIRE grants database here. You will find both federal and State information there.

Sometimes we think it is more expensive than it has to be to make your home more energy efficient.
