--- Hi Phylis, The Cherokee Electric Co-op has the Cherokee Advantage Programs for their residential customers who can borrow money for energy efficiency improvements to their homes. The Energy Right program has loans for residential customers to purchase energy efficient heat pumps. Payments are added to the monthly power bill. The Cullman Electric Cooperative offers rebates up to $200,00 to residential customers who make certain energy efficiency improvements to their homes. Contact your local utilities to check availability of the In-Home Energy Evaluation Pilot Program (IHEE). It offers in-home energy assessment as well as financing options and rebates/incentives to help choose significant energy efficiency improvements. Check out DSIRE here. Please let us know how you go.
