financing for solar panels installation

So we want to have solar panels installed to reduce our electric bill but can't afford the whole price and don't seem to find any reasonable financing option. All are loans with high interest rates. Are there any government grants out there that can help us pay off the solar panels?
We assume this is for residential use? If so, it seems your best options are to link up with a utility rebate program (paying you for your excess green energy).There are a number of them. Best search here.
