Grants for energy audit training

by Gary
(Pasadena, CA)

Are there any grants to pay for energy audit training courses?
---
It depends... If you are unemployed and collecting unemployment insurance you may want to inquire into your eligibility for local individual worker training grant program. You may obtain funds under Green Jobs Training, which could cover your course costs. If this fits your circumstances, you must register first before you enroll in any course. Find your local employment service office here and contact them.

Then register with your local Workforce Career Center and meet with your counselor. Take any wanted job ads to your appointment to show demand for course graduates and the details of the course you are interested in.

When approved, then contact your course provider and enroll.

Another option is to look for courses that allow you to finance their course fees. Denby Energy for example will let you split your payments.

There are no specific green job training grants for energy auditing beyond these options as far as we are aware.

Hope this helps. Let us know how you go.
