Grants for schools going Green

by Terry Damlos
(Glendale, AZ)

I have a small private school that we would like to turn into a totally GREEN school. Does anyone have any thoughts as to where we could get some funding to do this? We are located in AZ.
The Chandler - Expedited Plan Review and Certification Fee Reimbursement for Green Buildings http://www.chandleraz.gov/default.aspx?pageid=873 does help in this area... but you have to be in Chandler. Maybe speak with the Glendale authorities about something similar...

The USDA - Rural Energy for America Program (REAP) Grants funds 25% of renewable energy project costs.

Other readers may have further ideas?

Please let us know how you go.
