This is an excellent question! Unfortunately,homeowners associations are unable to take advantage of government incentives for solar installations, since most incentives (including grants) are tax incentives which are unavailable to nonprofit organizations. An alternative funding mechanism could be a Power Purchase Agreement, as explained on my blog at:
