Why pretend that wind and solar are a serious option? The City of Chicago would have to buy the state of Wisconsin and cover it with solar panels so they could provide enough electricity to run. And that would only work on clear days. "Oops, its cloudy. Everyone please stay home today, drink plenty of liquids and stay out of the sun."

Nuclear is by far the cleanest, most environmentally friendly energy source ever developed by man. Build nuclear plants and shut down the coal and gas powered plants. We would reduce our air pollution by a third! All of these wind and solar fixes are minor and pale in comparison.
