Smart ForTwo Electric Rebates or Incentives

My company has recently leased a Smart ForTwo Electric Car. We have been looking into rebates and incentives and have not been able to find a thing for a lease vehicle. Does the lease not matter? Any specific lease incentive programs? We are located in PA. ANY information would be appreciated.

Indeed there is a federal tax credit up to $7,500 for hybrid and electric vehicles. We don't know why buying only, instead of leasing, attracts the incentive. A tax agent might help you. It seems, on the face of, an anomaly as leased ev's contribute as much to reducing emissions and supporting this fledgling industry as a bought one.
