Solar energy grants for non-profit animal shelter

by Sarah
(McKenzie, TN)

I volunteer for my local humane society in West Tennessee. We are trying to launch a capital campaign to build a new building that will include solar power. We are certified non-profit, in a poor rural county, and will need to climate control about 5000-6000 square feet. The government grants about solar energy are a horrific maze of terms and divisions that is almost impossible to understand.

Can anyone recommend a more simple way to look for funding sources?

Thanks in advance.
