Solar Panel Grants for Utah Schools?

by Emily
(Salt Lake City)

Does anyone know if there are any grants or funds available to help schools in Utah obtain and install solar panels?
Emily, try the USDA - Rural Energy for America Program (REAP) Grants.
It's a Federal grant program offering 25% of project cost including for solar panels. Of course, it's restricted to rural areas... and last application round was June 2010. Might be worth contacting them for new rounds and any info on non-rural solar grants for schools.

Please let us know how you go.
