Off grid energy loan in Lake County, Northern California
by: Anonymous

For the last three years we have lived through winters where the whole surrounding neighborhood suffers through power losses due to trees falling on power lines. We on the other hand are off the grid with wood heat, and enjoying the winter!

We could not get a loan to refinance our construction loan. Eventually Redwood Credit Union did an "in house" loan which is one of those 5/1 ARMs.

We would love to find a 30 year conventional loan, but even here in progressive Northern California we cannot find anyone.
