Wind or solar help in Iowa

by scott o
(lisbon iowa)

I live in a rural area of Iowa. I am interested in solar and/or wind energy to be off the grid. I have a barn with three horses and also run a home business that is incorporated.

What help, grant or otherwise is available to me?
Thanks,
Scott

Thanks Scott. With your business hat on you might be eligible for a USDA - Rural Energy for America Program (REAP) Grant allowing a 25% project cost grant or loan.

Further, the U.S. Department of Treasury - Renewable Energy Grants may also be a help to you.
